Hey! I started this web page for the upcoming winter of 09/10 forpeople in Texas. I live in north texas and it's very hard to find news about winter here. There is a lot of northeast forums, but Texas needssomething too. I love winter, and even though we don't get that muchsnow here I spend all my winter looking at the computer models waitingfor the chance of snow. I'll post forecasts up here, and try to explainthe computer models. I'll give you links to all the websites I checkfor weather, and try to keep you updated with what is going on.

We need this for the Texas Panhandle also. All of the other websites do not have anything on our winter. We get quite a bit of snow here when the winter is right. Please include us on this website. Thanks.

I will definitely be covering the Panhandle as well once the winter gets closer. I'll be covering all of Texas.

I hope to have some maps up soon about the upcoming winter, along with switching to a main site with a main domain.

WONDERFUL!! FINALLY!! a place where we can get winter information for north central texas!! i am thrilled i have a place to go. Epecially this year when the old farmers almanac says colder/wetter and the noaa says nope probably wamer maybe drier .....I love winter and home we have some winter here this year.....this looks like a possibility.....lets hope for some cooler/wetter weather for snow here (a cold winter sure would help with killing off the pesky wee bestie bugs here too) thank you so much for the informative forecast and the map!!

Hey Beth! Thanks. This year looks promising usually that's how it goes. The almanacs say cold and noaa says warm. It's like that about every year, but with the El-Nino I think we have a good chance for a good winter.

I'm not a local meteorologist I've just studied weather for a long time especially winter weather, and I found Texas didn't have a winter site, so I thought why not start one? I do know where denison is though. About an hour or two away from there.

Very nice! I work in the nursery trade and have had lots of customers coming through saying they had heard it was going to be a hard winter. I stumbled across this website while searching for more info, and what a neat place!!

Its nice to have somewhere to go to keep track of our winters and also maybe learn a few prediction skills. Great job and 'bout time!!!!

I'am from the southeastern part of texas. What do you think of the predictions from joe bastardi on the possible cold and snowier forecast for texas. Snow all the way down to college station, Houston, San Antonio.

Well from my map you can see I think it is possible, and you might get an inch, or two. He's a little too forward on his forecast, though. When it comes to snow that far south it's really hard to actually predict. But the pattern is the right set-up for it to happen. You can tell already by this active fall that we have an interesting winter coming up. I'd say that there is a higher chance for you to get snow than normal, but it's not guaranteed of course.

Keep checking back.

You have to express more your opinion to attract more readers, because just a video or plain text without any personal approach is not that valuable. But it is just form my point of view
